I made a trip to La Jolla to see the Brown Pelicans. At this time of year they are in their breeding plumage and very colorful. The bright colors will fade out at the end of the breeding season. This location is a resting point for the birds as they are migrating. I was on the rocks above the ocean and was able to capture this almost at eye level.
