Despite several days of severe weather with temperatures significantly below freezing, this water was not covered with ice and snow totally (the top picture). I was very surprised when saw robins taking bath. They almost completely immersed themselves in the water and beat their wings intensely, raising a fountain of splashes. There was a single starling among more than a dozen robins.
