The latest eruption of the Grindavik volcano took place Sunday morning before dawn. As the sun rose, I was able to get to the top of the tower in central Reykjavik at the Hallgrimskirkja, the main church at the high point in the central city. This image is of the volcano plume near the south coast as seen from the tower.
