The Great Blue Heron is a common waterbird in almost any wetland habitat in North America, still it's exhilirating to see one! Perched high up a tree by the estuary, this great blue heron is transitioning to its breeding colors. The lore or the skin towards its golden eyes are turning bright blue and his yellow bill is turning orange. His legs are still slate blue but might assume a reddish brown color, his neck plumes are full and elongated.
