In my area of upstate New York, on Jan. 7th 2024 we had our first significant snowfall of the year. Even though it will be short-lived due to an upcoming rain storm with warmer temps, it is so awesome to see all the Northern Cardinals at the trees and feeders in my backyard. There were up to a dozen at a time (red males & yellow-orange females). The Northern Cardinal is among the most abundant & cherished songbirds in North America.
