I took the images from my backyard shortly after the moon rise. I used Astrospheric app to determine the best time to take the image because of the weather. The app gives information regarding cloud cover and transparency of the atmosphere, as well as dark sky information. Using this app and PhotoPills I plan the best time to capture images of celestial objects.
