On our way back from Death Valley in Pahrump, we saw the moon rising above Mount Charleston, a peak that is over 11,900 feet. It is the 8th highest mountain in the state of Nevada and and the 8th most prominent peak in the US. With the sun setting at the same time, the surrounding mountains were awash with a red hue. I am quite happy with this shot.
