Facing southeast, while looking out of my window I noticed a bright twinkling star in the sky. I knew it couldn't be a planet since it was really twinkling unlike anything I have ever seen. So I went to the EarthSky.org like I usually do whenever I want to know what is in the night sky, and I discovered it must be Sirius. This photo doesn't do it justice. To my surprise, a bunch of other stars appeared in the photo which I had not seen. I realized I captured most of Orion! With a regular smart phone! Very exciting! If you look closely you can see Orion's entire body.
