The waning crescent of Old Moon peeks out through slightly hazy skies near dawn over Tyson’s Corner, Virginia, better known for shopping than astrophotography. Taken from the 12th floor of a hotel using a Sony Cybershot, this snippet of space-time depicts the end of another lunar cycle. The moon was 6% illuminated on December 10, 2023.
