It can either be a short drive or long walk to the Red Hands Cave near Glenbrook in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales. These were created some 1600 years ago by the Dharug aboriginal people who lived in the area in groups of 50 to 100 people. These are some of their remaining art created by imprinting ochre on the cave walls.
