An example of in inferior mirage. Tybee Island and Lighthouse seem to be floating above the horizon, an atmospheric refraction phenomenon known as looming. But "bottom" of the island is a mirror image of the "top", resulting in an inferior mirage. How to know for sure? The Lighthouse is not floating but stretches to the horizon.
