Altocumulus Clouds Near Sunset

Clouds are categorized by height and shape. Cumulus clouds look like cotton or cauliflower. The clouds captured here are mainly altocumulus and reside at an altitude of 3-4km. The combination of clouds, blue sky and sunlight when the sun is low on the horizon can produce dramatic effects. Clouds are one of my favorite subjects to photograph.
