Like so many, the news of Jimmy Buffett's death has affected me in ways I never expected. I saw him in concert only once (Dolly Parton was the opening act), but his happy demeanor and seemingly carefree lifestyle were charming, enviable traits. Although I have photographed the moon rising behind my house thousands of times, tonight it seemed to have palm trees pushing it upward.
I think Jimmy had a hand in this. He wants us all to enjoy life, not sweat the small stuff, and appreciate the good that can still be found in this world.
Thanks for the smiles, Jimmy.
