Super Blue Moon of August & Minar e Pakistan!

A super moon is a full moon that comes a few hundred kilometers nearer to the earth making it's size and illumination a bit bigger and brighter than normal or average full moon. So was the case tonight and to make things more interesting a blue moon is a technical term which is named to the second full moon in a same month, and tonight being the second full moon of August it was also termed as Blue Moon (note the term has nothing to do with the color Blue).

I wanted to capture this once in a blue moon in a way that I would remember it for times to come. I decided to capture the rising moon with Minar e Pakistan in the frame as I felt no one captured the identity of Lahore (rather Pakistan I should say) along with any celestial objects. So I looked up on photo pills app and found a few possible locations where I could shoot it but unluckily those locations were not accessible. I am glad that I met Abid Ali who himself is a photographer and owns a unique spot opposite Minar e Pakistan where the view of this historic place is sublime and he allowed me to use his premises to capture this shot.
