Took a trip to Blue Springs State Park last week and was pleasantly surprised to spot this Barred Owl napping along the walking trail.

The Barred Owl is named after the bars down their chests. They're medium sized owl's with a round head and brown eyes. They have very distinctive calls and are actually considered one of the most vocal owls 🦉 #fl #birds #barredowl #photography #wildlifephotography #nature
