I traveled to Salt Lake, 130 km away from my home in Ankara, to shoot Comet Nishimura on the evening of August 23rd and August 24th, I pointed my telescope towards it early in the morning.

Comet C/2023 P1 (Nishimura) was recently discovered by amateur astronomer Hideo Nishimura, its brightness is nearly magnitude 9. It is expected to brighten up in the 1st weeks of September, it may even become visible to the naked eye.
