My poor little female Ruby-throated Hummingbird has been harrassed by bees at her feeder. This one chased her from her spot. The hummingbird is the smallest bird species in the world. Bees don't intentionally go out of their way to attack the hummingbird, but if caught up in a situation & it out-maneuvers the bird, the sting can be deadly.
