Image Details:

This Eastern Amberwing (dragonfly) was perched on top of a Lilac bush, with the sunlight catching him from behind.
Dragonflies are my favorite insect. They’re fast and acrobatic flyers, and have excellent eyesight, as they’re able to see in nearly all directions. They’re also easy to photograph, as they tend to freeze in place while waiting for prey to fly by.
