Sturgeon Moon
Full Moon 99.8%
2-Aug-2023 02:26AM
This full Moon has been named after the sturgeon fish. These fish were once abundant in the Americas providing a valuable food source, though now their population is much smaller due to overfishing and habitat loss.
The moon was brighter and appeared larger than other full moons.
This year August will have two full moons.
