Sunset eyes on this stunning Great Blue Heron 🌅

Great Blue’s are without a doubt my favorite birds because they are friendly birds that love to hang out at the beach! They carry themselves with awkward yet graceful beauty that I find comforting.

These gentle giants are the largest heron in North America, known for their long lanky bodies, necks and legs. They also have an impressive wingspan of 6-7ft when they are full grown, making them look huge when they take flight.

If you are lucky enough to spot one while you’re out by the water, take it as a sign to believe in yourself because the Great Blue has long symbolized self-reliance and self-determination!
