I just had to visit with the Short-earred Owls, at the Washington County Grasslands, one last time before they migrate back to their breeding range in Canada & the Arctic. This owl was backlit by the sun that was nearing sunset (making photographing it a little tricky). Their migration back to our area gives us something to look forward to every fall & winter.
