This Great Blue Heron seems to know how to pose so I can capture his best angle. He was having a quiet time-not hunting, preening now and then, but mostly resting. I see him often at different spots at Pirate Cove. Pirate Cove is one of two subtidal research reserves in Oregon (The other is Gregory Point at Cape Arago).
