Image Details:

Two Hemispheres, One Moon

This image is a collage image of a moonrise, from the northern and southern hemispheres, both taken on 7th March 2023, at 600mm full frame camera focal length. The image from the northern hemisphere is from Dhanbad (India), and the image from the southern hemisphere is from Canberra (Australia). We have been working on this project for the last 6 months and were able to finally able to make it after overcoming a lot of challenges.

Having seen the same moon, the moon's rise path in the two hemispheres follows different directions due to the way the Earth is titled on its axis. Below is a detailed explanation from ChatGPT:
