A Melting Icicle we had a day in between snow storms and it was cool but really beautiful I was photographing some of the local birds when I noticed quite a few melting icicles hanging from the roof covering the porch this particular one had really good back lighting so I
decided to try some long range macro photography and was surprised I ended up with some decent images this one being the most
interesting the high shutter speed and high speed continuous shooting captured the instant the water droplet left the icicle looking like
an ornament on a Christmas tree. The blue color and white color are the the sky and snow refracting through the icicle.
