Image Details:

Crescent Moon near Volcanic Sunset Illuminated Cumulus.
On Saturday 25th rapidly clearing sky after sundown provided some beautiful views of the five-day-old Waxing Crescent Moon (plus Jupiter getting closer to Venus) near volcanic sunset illuminated clouds from 6.30 to 7.10 pm. The most spectacular part of the show was the Moon near a full grown cumulus above Transmitter Hill which for two minutes reflected brightly coloured light from an adjacent volcanic sunset twilight arch.
