Alignment of Moon, Jupiter and Venus.
On Thursday 23rd, clearing cloud between 6.30 and 7.15 pm provided glimpses of the alignment of the three-day-old Waxing Crescent Moon, Jupiter and Venus in a volcanic sunset coloured sky above Murahwa Mountain and Christmas Pass.
Jupiter is approaching Venus for a much anticipated close conjunction on 1-2 March. Details at https://earthsky.org/tonight/bright-planets-west-after-sunset-venus-and-jupiter-conjunction-feb-mar-2023/
