Mutare Lightning.
During the late afternoon on 21st February there was a rainy season build-up of thunderstorm activity in and around Mutare which was accompanied by lightning as darkness approached. The accompanying montage is a selection video frames of lightning captured between 6.25 and 5.53 pm from a few minutes before a blinding flash struck an electricity substation in Chikanga township until the storm moved to Christmas Pass and then Transmitter Hill where cloud-to-ground strikes were replaced by anvil crawlers.
