Image Details:

It was supposed to be a cloudy night with snow on the forecast. To my great surprise, I got home at 6:30 to look out and see the crescent moon, Venus, and Jupiter shining brightly in a crystal clear sky right outside my window. I grabbed my camera, tripod, and marvelous Tokina lens and snapped some pictures. Another surprise, not noticed at the time, occurred during processing. It's hard to see, but the Big Dipper appears right between the moon and Venus!
