Image Details:

I saw this hole appear in the clouds as I paddled a kayak on the Potomac River in Maryland. I was looking directly towards the sun, which was obscured behind further layers of clouds. I don't understand how the sunbeams appeared the way they did, as if the sun had dropped down into the cloud layer. But there it is.
