Equipment Details:

Road: Nikon D3200, 50 mm lens
Moon: Nikon D800, 600 mm lens
Stars: Nikon D3200, 135 mm lens

Post-processing Details:

Desaturate background image in GIMP using mono mixer to remove most of the blue channel, leaving read and green intact.
Moon, stacked in AS3! Post processing in GIMP
Stars from an image of Comet C/2022 E3 added to sky

Image Details:

The Snake Pass image was acquired on a bright clear day, converted to monochrome and the Moon and stars were added on top from separate images acquired over the past few months. Even the Nikon D800, with 14 bits of dynamic range, used for the Moon image does not have the capability to properly expose all of the elements in this image in a single exposure.
