Image Details:

While scouting for more dragonflies this afternoon, I was surprised when this Double Crested Cormorant (Phalacrocorax auritus) surfaced not far from me. Beautiful green eyes, vicious hooked yellow beak, an efficient angler. It stayed long enough for 3 quick shots then dove and swam away hunting fishes below the surface.
