Image Details:

Barry Medlin's impressive Dragonfly images (about 20 posted thus far ) motivated me to give it a try this morning. My first location was "Dragonfly Heaven". At least 100 specimens out and about, 5-6 species were ID'd plus one Damselfly. Getting good images was another thing. I fired off 100 + shutter clicks to get a handful of useable shots. Big wind was certainly a detrimental factor.

This one is a Twelve Spot Skimmer. One of the 3 species that would land close by and perch long enough for the camera. The other species were Black Saddlebags Skimmer, Slaty Skimmer, Blue Darner, Meadowhawks, Eastern Pondhawks and a few damselfly species.
