Leaning against his ruined neighbour Cyrillus lies conspicuous crater Theophilus - at left of center terminator - with a mighty fist of central peaks. Following the terminator rightwards appears the semicircular rim of Nectaris basin, 860 km wide, illuminated by the low rising Sun. Many landmarks can be seen including promontory Mons Penck - directly below Theophilus - and drop like crater Torricelli to its left.
