Image Details:

This is my astrophoto of Jupiter, the largest of the planets and the fifth in order of distance from the Sun.
The planet is classified as a gas giant because it is mainly composed of hydrogen and helium gases. The giant has many moons and currently 80 are known. The brightest moons are 4 and they are: Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. These were discovered by Galileo Galilei in 1610.
Unfortunately Callisto is not visible in this photo due to the great distance from the planet.
