Happy to “Share the Shore” with these beauties. Least Terns are the smallest terns in the world. They nest in colonies right in the sand. Having several chicks in each clutch.
Chicks are camouflaged like the beach they are born on and rely on their parents to bring them fish, sometimes bigger than the chicks, which will enable them to grow fast and fledge within weeks of hatching.
