A female osprey most likely incubating their eggs, while the male osprey is fishing for her food. Fish comprise 99% of these raptors' diet. The pair come back every year to the same nest. They mate for life. Ospreys are migratory birds. They come to Oregon in March or April and remain until September when they travel south for the winter, commonly to Mexico. While in Oregon, osprey mate, nest, and raise their young until their first migratory flight.
