Image Details:

The forecast for May 30 in Salida, CO called for cloudy skies. However, in the early hours after astronomic twilight, the skies were clear enough to get several shots of the Tau Herculids meteor shower. The one included in this photo, was the largest recorded with my camera that night. This photo is a composite of the meteor and the Milky Way galactic center rising on the SE skyline that moonless night.
