Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) on a salt marsh in Buzzard's Bay, Wareham, hunting on a variety of juvenile fishes and crustaceans. A long-legged bird that stands 4 feet (1.22 meters) tall and has a wingspan of 6 feet (1.83 meters). Usually solitary except during the breeding season; March to May in North America.
