Equipment Details:

Nikon Z7II with 14mm Rokinon f/2.8mm on Manfrotto tripod

Post-processing Details:

a single exposure of 20 seconds, the sky was separately processed to darken the blue and bring out the clouds more, the land processed to lighten the shadows, and both portions recombined in photoshop

Image Details:

this photo is taken under the light from the April full moon at the base of lower Yosemite Falls in the national park and shows a lunar rainbow (aka moonbow). All lighting is from the full moon which had risen around an hour earlier. There were many passing clouds but one can see stars through the breaks. The image is short enough not to show extensive star trails. Lunar rainbows are an attraction of Yosemite in the spring when the waterfalls have their highest flow. They are best seen in the nights surrounding the full moon and require a clear sky and enough water flow to create mist around the falls.
