I edited this photo in Affinity Photo with clarity, contrast, colour correction, and noise reduction adjustments.
This evening's coronal mass ejection arrival resulted in a minor geomagnetic storm with some rather colourful auroras. The red auroral light is generated by high altitude oxygen atoms.
