Image Details:

A frozen wetland in the last stage of dormancy. Pretty soon it will burst into life.

The remarkable thing about this image is that the ground looks bright as day while the sky is grey as dusk . The afterglow of sunset had brightened the clouds above, which in turn brightened the landscape.
