These two small volunteer daffodils have grown up near each other in the grass of my yard every springtime for the past six years. The tallest of the two (in the foreground) is only five inches in height. Every spring equinox season I revel in the miracle and glory of these beauties' arrival outside my home. And every year I lie down in the grass to become eye level with their corona so I can admire them up-close and photograph their portrait.
