These images show the great wingspan of the bald eagle as it lands carefully onto the nest. The second eagle is deeper in the nest sitting on eggs. In the first image the eagle is displaying the nicitating membrane (protective eyelid). This is one of my favorite of the bald eagle couples that I follow.
