A shy twilight in te desert. Wait, desert? Well, it happens to be that although the Cuatro Ciénegas Basin is in the middle of the Chihuahuan Desert (the largest and with more biodiversity of North America, extending from Arizona, New Mexico & Texas all the way to central México), the valley does have around 500 ponds, streams, cenote like water bodies, as well as the largest bacteria diversity in the whole planet, with cyano bacteriae that resemble (almost identical to) ancient organisms from 3.5 bill years ago. Wind was so calm that Las Playitas lagoon looked like a mirror, reflecting the mountains in the background, located some 15 Km from the camera.
