Shortly before sunrise, flocks of starlings arrive, circle in the sky, and then sit on the tops of trees and spend 15-30 minutes there, and then all the birds fly away almost simultaneously, but in small groups and in different directions. This photo of an arriving flock was taken 9 minutes before sunrise.
