This is the Peebles Island bald eagle couple, also considered locally as the Urban Eagles. They have been together for years. Like most birds, eagles are monogamous. The tower they are sitting on is one of their favorite spots, which is located near a busy bridge connecting two towns. The larger of the two is the female (females are up to one third larger than the male). The nice thing is that they can sit there for hours and fish below, which is a spillway to the Mohawk River.
