GoPro

Post-processing Details:

Removed a lens flare and cropped down to focus on the lights and take out a street light (yellow glow) bottom right. Bumped up saturation a bit.

This is late and not a great pic but here's the story. I've been wanting to see AB for a long time. We travelled to a town on the ND/SD border several days before and saw nothing. Several days later the kp went to 8.67 in our area with a 3% chance to see the lights. Didn't get too excited but drove north of the city and saw nothing (too early). Knowing I couldn't stay up all night I decided to put the GoPro out just in case. Much to my surprise when I opened the file and WOW I couldn't believe it. The lights started at 12:10 a.m. and the they were still going at 2:53 a.m. when the GoPro stopped. I had gotten up several times at night and didn't notice anything. Maybe the camera lens sees better than I at night. I still want to see them live so hoping for another CME and perseverance to keep propped up all night! This is a frame from a night lapse clip.
