This is a DSLR shot of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko (mag +9.8) with a nice 1°+ tail. The comet is at peak brightness the week of November 8th, and I captured this shot in the early morning hours from Charlottesville, VA in the northeastern sky. The elongated star trails are a stacking artifact from the comet's apparent motion in the night sky.
