Equipment Details:

Nikon D7500, Nikon 200-500mm zoom lens, at 450mm

Post-processing Details:

a single image of the moon and Venus was taken in raw format and then processed twice, once stretched to bring out the details of the earthshine portion of the lunar disc, and once compressed to suppress the highlights and show the craters on the illuminated portion of the lunar disc; both these images were recombined by blending the two layers in photoshop with dimmer portions from the stretched process and brighter from the compressed process

Image Details:

taken shortly after sunset on Sunday, November 7th, this image shows Venus, the moon including both the lit portion and the portion just illuminated by earthshine, and some stars beginning to appear
