Image Details:

Venus and Waxing Crescent moon (11.8%) descending in the evening sky, This image was taken an hour after sunset. The brightness has been reduced drastically to improve sharpness and contrast against the cirrus clouds and evening haze. As a result, the dusky western sky looks darker than it normally is.
